Hidden gems to master Milan

Strolling through the vibrant streets of Milan enjoying canalside drinks and classic Italian cuisine is my definition of la dolce vita. Are you up for a weekend away? Here is my guide to the hidden gems and top hideaways that cannot be missed this season. From fine restaurants to modern vintage stores, and more. Enjoy!

Luca e Andrea

Treat yourself to a Negroni Sbagliato in this lively bar (preferably in the outdoor area to soak up the vibes). Located in the beloved area of Navigli surrounded by canals and cobbled streets with numerous bars, restaurants, and modern vintage shops.

Villa Necchi Campiglio

This architectural masterpiece is well worth a visit. A stunning oasis with astonishing interiors and grand outdoor gardens set right in the city center of Milan. Completed by architect Piero Portaluppi in 1935 and home to the famous Necchi Campiglio family.

Giacomo Rosticceria

This genuine restaurant oozes Italian flavors and serves amazing Italian pizza and the best carbonara in town. If up for a long lunch, be sure to grab a seat in the picturesque garden.

”Visiting Milan is an endless love story for both foodies and fashionistas.”

Gelato magnifico!

Words cannot describe the taste of real Italian gelato. Luckily there are plenty of local ice cream parlors around. Make sure not to miss out on the Stracciatella flavor, it is 10 out of 10.

Vintage Stores

If hunting for vintage clothes and accessories, look into these lovely little shops.

All'antico Vinaio

Without a doubt, this vibrant place serves Italian street food at its best – amazing sandwiches that are well worth the detour, and the wait. People line up for hours to taste them.

N'Ombra de Vin

A crowded local favorite with aperitifs to die for, an amazing wine cellar, and a lively outdoor area. Located in the heart of the beloved Brera neighborhood.

Osteria Del Binari

Explore exquisite Italian cuisine in a spectacular atmosphere (especially the stunning outdoor garden). This lovely place is located near Porta Genova.

“This vibrant city is a must-visit for weekend escapes. Remember to always arrive in style.”
