Social Responsibility

Striving towards the highest possible quality requires so much more than just choosing the best cotton for a shirt — it includes being proud of how it was made, by whom, and under what circumstances, and acting on that to future-proof our company for future generations.

Our Supply Chain

Our way of working is far from standard: our relationships with our suppliers are long-term, and we work together in close collaboration. We optimize conditions for consistent high quality in our shirts and accessories and inspire a higher quality work environment through being present in the daily production work. With a longer perspective that creates increased financial stability for our suppliers, we increase the opportunity for people on the floor to experience the same thing. Every production agreement has our Code of Conduct attached, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fair working conditions, fair pay, freedom of association, and anti-corruption. To complement informal collaboration, compliance is controlled through third-party audits. We also review all potential suppliers’ environmental ways of working and existing certifications.

Our Coworkers

As an international company with workplaces spread across Europe and North America, we take inspiration from our roots: Eton as an integral part of the community in its native Sweden. In order to inspire a healthy work environment, we offer well-being contributions to all teams, and wellness contributions to all employees. For transparency and optimization of our workplaces, we have implemented a bi-annual workplace survey and an anonymous whistle-blower function.

Inclusion & Diversity

In 2021, we launched our Inclusion & Diversity Steering Group, composed of representatives from different departments and workplaces on two continents. Our company values clearly state that equality, diversity, and inclusiveness should be a given at Eton, and are the inspiration for the group.

“…implementing diversity and inclusiveness deeper into Eton’s organization stimulates creativity and help us understand and meet the needs of a diverse customer base, but it also nurtures a culture where everyone can thrive and grow”.

Community Engagement

Local

We give back to the community where Eton has played a central part for nearly a hundred years, by supporting youth activation through local football clubs Gånghester SK and Elfsborg, and the Equmenia Youth Organization, who among other things offer children access to a local Scout Group.

National

Over the years, we have focused on student initiatives, in 2021 primarily via Gadden, the largest career fair in the Nordic region for business, economics, law, logistics and environmental science studies, Kontaktdagarna for Economic Studies at Uppsala University.

International

To emphasize the importance of staying home to limit the spread of Covid-19 and make a positive contribution to people in need, we launched a social media initiative in 2020. For every Instagram post tagged with @etonshirts #workfromhome and #meandmyeton, we undertook to donate a premium shirt or tie to a charitable organization that helps unemployed people re-enter the workforce, partnering with Career Gear (North America) and Suited for Success (Europe).
