D2C Buyer Merchandiser - Maternity Leave

Job Description:
Eton is seeking to hire a D2C Buyer & Merchandiser to support Eton’s Direct to Consumer (D2C) business on a 12-month maternity cover with a possibility of prolonging. Starting end of 2022/beginning 2023.
You will be responsible to implement an effective assortment strategy based on customer demands and insights to size the potential with an accurate product offering in our D2C channels.

You will be a key player in securing an effective and balanced buying level/methodology, with the goal to maximize sales, at a highest possible margin, with an optimized replenishment process.

You will be a part of our Global Retail Team reporting to our Global Retail Director but also be integrated with the E-com team to support the two teams in the growth journey that lies ahead.

You will have a dotted line to our BIA-Manager (Business Intelligence Analyst).

Major Responsibilities

  • Identify, Analyze, and Quantify business potential based on consumer demands in Eton’s D2C channels

  • Responsible to align annual sales budget with buying budget per period in D2C channel.

  • Creation of an assortment plan by month on the key drivers to reach sales goals.

  • Set clear assortment needs towards design and product teams to secure the right product at the right time at the right place (article plan)

    – Wardrobe Essential assortment
    – Capsules and exclusives for D2C
    – Forwards Orders and seasonal assortment
    – Sale assortment and planning

  • Involved in setting an effective activity plan process with all key campaigns and highlights.

  • Create a balance between sales and inventory per product category, product type, color and sizes in Eton’s D2C channels

    • Proactive work in season to maximize sales potential
    • Provide consumer/product insights to product team and other stakeholders

Key targets

  • Set, measure, and share KPI’s daily, weekly, monthly to improve performance for buying, D2C, management and product teams.
  • Optimize gross margin in our D2C and maintain a low, sustainable reduction/discount level.
  • Optimize inventory to maximize sale at lowest possible cost.

Your profile

  • Preferable Bachelor or Master of Business Administration or similar.
  • Experience from buying and/or merchandising roles within the apparel industry.
  • Analytical and structured.
  • Excellent communication skills (Swedish, English) and people skills.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment.







The position is based in either Gånghester or Stockholm and some travel might be required, and for the right candidate the opportunities to grow in the organization are endless.
