Our dress shirt fabrics

The cotton used in our shirts is sourced from the finest crops in the world. A significant share of our collection features organic Supima cotton grown in the American Southwest. This rare, extra-long staple (ELS) cotton accounts for less than 1 percent of the entire global ELS cotton production and features longer, finer and more durable fibers. These qualities contribute to giving our dress shirts their unique and luxurious feel – every time you wear them, year after year.

The next step in the making of our men’s dress shirts is weaving the fabric. We work with the industry’s most trusted and renowned mills, ensuring exceptional quality and exquisite draping. In close collaboration with some of the world’s best weavers, such as Albini and Canclini, we create the perfect fabric for each pattern and shirt. Our shirts are made in a variety of different weaves, such as twills, poplins, and dobbys.

All our dress shirts go through a unique wrinkle-resistant treatment to stabilize the cotton fabrics. This process enhances the natural characteristics of the fibers, resulting in a smooth and long-lasting finish.

The details of our men’s quality dress shirts

Our story begins in 1928 at a kitchen table in the small Swedish village of Gånghester. With every decision made since then, we have stayed true to our commitment to quality and style, evolving and perfecting our collection of dress shirts. We still produce our shirts in Europe, allowing us to maintain a direct oversight of every step in the production to ensure the high expectations of our customers are always met.

An Eton shirt consists of approximately 45 different parts, and we use 12 000 extra fine stitches in each one. This means that the stitches are closer together than in regular shirts. Both sleeve seams and side seams undergo a double sewing process using a single needle lock stitching technique. This meticulous approach gives a smooth surface and excellent comfort whenever you wear your shirt.
