Five Classic Styles and How to Wear Them. Timeless, Elegant, and Versatile – Some Shirts Can Never Do Wrong.

Do you feel stuck when styling your shirts? Or do you want to step outside your comfort zone and add some patterns to your outfit? Head of Assortment Olof Enckell and Creative Lead Richard Andersson are here to help. Together they have selected five absolute classics and curated different looks on how to wear them.

How to Style Texture

A different kind of shirt – this is our White Textured Twill Shirt. Characterized by its rich texture and clear luster, this style elevates the white shirt to a different level. The clear diagonal weave is created by weaving the fabric with dual, double twisted yarns in both directions. With our elegant cut away collar – this shirt adds a luxury feel to any dress or formal outfit.

How to Style a Classic Button-Down

A super classic – the White Oxford Button-Down Shirt. Made from extra-long staple single-ply cotton, which provides a finer texture than many other Oxford shirts. Combined with our wrinkle free finish, this shirt stays sharp throughout the day.

How to Style Patterns

If you want an all-season shirt that’s easy to match, this is it: the Houndstooth Twill Shirt. The secret behind this distinct houndstooth pattern is the fabric. Woven from compact, extra-long staple cotton. These yarns are smoother and more resistant than standard cotton, which enables a dense weave with subtle texture and a lightweight feel.

A New Collar

This season we introduced one of our most iconic shirts – the Signature Twill Shirt in a new collar: the wide spread. The shirt is made with rounded cuffs, rounded collar stands, as well as slightly thinner interlining. In other words, you get all the benefits of our most popular shirt fabrics, but just in a slightly more casual look.

How to Style Different Patterns and Colors

The White and Blue Bengal Striped Shirts is as classic as it gets. Our version is made from our Fine Twill fabric that provides a striped pattern with sharp outlines, vibrant colors – a shirt for all-season wear.

At Eton we would call this look “playful business”, which means we try to style different patterns and colors. In this case we’ve matched the shirt with a fine checked suit jacket, a polka dot tie and paisley pocket square. Although there are quite a lot of different patterns in the same outfit, they really balance each other.
