Style Guide

When it comes to mastering summer style, few do it better than our in-house stylist, Victor Rotting. Known for his discerning eye and effortless approach to menswear, Victor travels to Florence every June for Pitti Uomo, the world’s leading menswear fair.

This year, he brought along his favorites from Eton’s SS25 Summer Edit—a personal selection of five warm-weather outfits that balance ease with subtle polish. From airy linens to textured knits and crisp tailoring, these are his essentials for navigating the summer season in style: staying cool, feeling sharp, and keeping it simple.

Victor Rotting’s Edit

Every season, I return to Florence for Pitti Uomo—especially in June, when the city becomes the stage for the Spring/Summer previews of the following year. It’s a ritual, and a reminder of why I love this world: Menswear. The light hits centuries-old façades just right, casting shadows over cobblestone streets. The humid air hums with energy. The crowd? Style-forward, international, unmistakably Florentine.

This time, I brought my favorite pieces from Eton’s SS25 Summer Edit—a collection designed to move with ease through summer heat, light, and life. Clothes that feel just at home beneath Renaissance arches, beside weathered shutters, and in the golden hush of early evening.

This edit wasn’t about following trends. It was about refining summer dressing down to its most essential, elegant form. These are the looks I wore on the ground in Florence—no sets, no lights, just real looks in real light. Here's how I styled them:

The Beige Polo

Beige and white is a timeless summer combination. I chose this polo shirt for its subtle refinement—collared, but relaxed, and soft enough to wear all day in the Florentine heat. The wider trousers balance the look, giving it a breezy silhouette that feels both elevated and effortless. I kept it partially unbuttoned because the summer invites ease.

The Striped Linen Shirt

This one’s a no-brainer. I wear linen almost daily in summer, and this striped version is the ultimate. I always leave one more button undone than necessary—it’s my personal rule for warmer days. The vertical stripes add to the southern Europe vibe. Worn with light blue 501s for a retro-cool feel without trying too hard.

White Tee, Jeans, Blue Blazer

This is my go-to look. It’s the kind of outfit you don’t have to think about, and that’s the point. A perfect white tee made from Filo di Scazia cotton, vintage Levi’s 501s, and a navy linen blazer with just the right amount of slouch. This combination carries you from your morning espresso to your late-night Negronis. No fuss, no overthinking—just good clothes doing what they do best.

The Black Linen Suit

Florence gets hot, but I still wanted to lean into a classic—black necktie, white dress shirt (Signature Twill, of course) and a black suit—but made it seasonally sharp in linen. The texture of the fabric adds lightness, and the grenadine tie brings depth without the weight. There’s something about a black suit in summer: unexpected, powerful, and very Pitti.

The Chocolate Brown Polo

Who says summer means light colors only? This light knit chocolate brown polo brings texture and richness to the season. I paired it with black trousers for a tonal look that feels polished yet relaxed. It’s what I wear when the sun sets, and the city starts to hum—perfect for summer dinners or parties that linger into the night.

Pitti is always about style—but more than that, it’s about expression and inspiration. And this edit—Eton’s SS25 summer pieces—gave me the perfect canvas to do just that. Clothes that travel well, breathe easy, always feel right. Until next Pitti, Victor
