Seersucker Soft Jacket

The seersucker or railroad stripe is a cooling fabric with a characteristic puckered texture. Historically, silk and cotton threads were used so that the latter shrunk and bunched together when washed and treated while the silk remained smooth. Today, it is a matter of weaving skills, of alternating tighter and looser cotton warp threads.
